The US Army HBT Cap OD No.3 is a replica of the Herringbone Twill (HBT) field cap introduced in 1941 for use during World War II. Designed as a practical and comfortable cap, it featured a simple construction with a separate bill and cylindrical crown, made from 100% cotton in the same olive drab (OD) color as the HBT uniforms. Although a peaked cap was officially discontinued for most enlisted soldiers after 1941, the HBT cap saw continued widespread use and was officially authorized in August 1943 to replace other caps.

How To Measure
To choose the correct size for you, measure your head as follows:
Using a flexible tape measure, measure the circumference of your head by placing the tape over the middle of your forehead, just above your ears, and around the widest part of the back of your head.
Be sure not to pull the tape too tightly, as you want your hat to fit comfortably. It's recommended to measure yourself 2-3 times to ensure accuracy. Your head circumference is now determined, and you can reference the size guide above to find your closest matching cap size.
