US Army HBT Trousers OD NO.7 were a darker shade of green introduced in March 1943, replacing the earlier “sage green” (OD8) HBTs, and were the most common combat/fatigue trousers for the rest of WWII. Officially called “Pants / trouser, Herringbone Twill, Special OD Shade 7,” they were made of a durable, herringbone-patterned cotton and were issued to many different units for a variety of tasks. The OD7 trousers were designed for durability and comfort, serving as a practical replacement for older denim fatigues in various climates.
