US Army M1936 Pistol Belt

The US Army’s M1936 pistol belt was a standard-issue cotton webbing belt, introduced in 1936, that served as a primary piece of load-carrying equipment. It was used by personnel not issued a standard rifle, such as those armed with handguns, carbines, or submachine guns, and was worn by all branches of the service including infantry, paratroopers, and M.P.s. The belt featured three rows of eyelets for size adjustment and attaching equipment like holsters, and a front snap for magazine pouches.
