US Army M36 Khaki Suspenders

The US Army’s M36 “Suspenders, Belt, M-1936” were standard-issue combat suspenders in World War II, designed to transfer weight from the belt to the shoulders and provide support for loaded belts like the M36 pistol, BAR, and Garand belts. Made of durable khaki-colored cotton webbing with brass fittings, they helped soldiers comfortably carry heavy loads and were used by many different units, including infantry, airborne troops, and armored units. The suspenders also featured “D”-rings on the front for attaching a musette bag to be carried as a rucksack.
